Job Description

The Division of Biological and Biomedical Systems invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Teaching Professor or Associate Teaching Professor level in Biology. The teaching position will involve teaching undergraduate and possibly graduate courses, including cell biology, evolution, and upper-level courses in critical thinking, including courses involving your particular expertise (contribute to existing courses or develop on your own).

Qualifications

The primary attributes we seek in candidates are the potential or demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring. Experience supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds is a plus.

Full-time, 9-month, benefit-eligible, ranked non-tenure track faculty position. Opportunity for ranked promotion is provided. Our academic schedules and workload provides for a positive work/life balance.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must possess a Ph.D., (or M.D., D.D.S., or D.V.M.) by the start date.
  • Experienced MS or MA will also be considered with significant biological teaching.
  • Postdoctoral experience is encouraged.
  • All applicants should have experience with teaching biological concepts.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
