As a Security Officer - Access Control in Rancho Cordova, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will help manage access control, greet and assist employees and visitors, and conduct routine patrols while maintaining a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a tech, media, and/or telecom location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor check-in and check-out, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and directing guests to approved destinations.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and document unusual activity and/or policy exceptions in daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, evacuations, and coordination with site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or other policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
