Security Officer - Data Center Patrol

As a Security Officer - Data Center Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-tech telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to access questions, report concerns, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and data-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas by verifying authorization, observing activity, and reporting irregular conditions according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and supporting arriving responders as directed.
• Complete required documentation such as shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possessing a guard card or license is preferred.
• Having CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
