Relief Crew R/V Blue Heron

THIS POSITION IS TEMPORARY, ON-CALL AND SEASONAL BETWEEN APRIL AND OCTOBER. Duties and responsibilities involve performing a variety of maintenance, repair and cleaning aboard the research vessel, assisting in the launch and retrieval of over-the-side scientific equipment, rigging and ensuring safe usage of deck and over-the-side apparatus, operating winches, assisting in watch standing, doing engine-room walk-through, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned. The Employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have or be in the process of obtaining maritime certification: Ordinary Seaman or Able-bodied Certificates or or USCG 6-pack license. The license you have must be listed on the application. Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position. Must be willing to be part of a drug testing program and be willing and able to get a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.
  

Pay Rate: $22.67 per hour.
