Title: VP of Sales, Dealer Solutions - Enterprise Accounts

Location: Remote - USA

Reports to: SVP of Sales, Dealer Solutions

Vacancy: This is a new position

The Role:
The VP of Sales, for Enterprise Accounts, drives new enterprise business and expands strategic accounts across complex, high-value customers. This role focuses on building executive relationships, managing complex sales cycles, and partnering with Marketing, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to build pipeline, close large deals, and grow ARR.

The Impact You Will Have in This Role:
You will play a key role in accelerating enterprise revenue by landing new strategic customers, expanding existing accounts, and building long-term partnerships that strengthen our position in the market and drive predictable growth.

What You'll Be Doing in This Role:

The VP of Sales serves as the primary business contact for the enterprise automotive groups. This individual will be responsible for driving strategy, and ensuring the achievement of ambitious sales targets. You will act as a master of the industry, possessing deep expertise in our product portfolio and the competitive landscape.

The VP of Sales is a senior strategic leader responsible for driving high-value revenue growth across J.D. Power's Dealer Solutions portfolio for the largest automotive groups in the country. You will play a critical role in representing JD Power and elevating the overall sales culture and capability within the organization.

This role represents some of the most widely recognized industry-standard assets in the market, including:

  • J.D. Power Values / Used Car Guide (UCG) Values

  • J.D. Power ChromeData

  • J.D. Power Darwin F&I technology

  • J.D. Power PowerDealer and Dealer of Excellence

  • J.D. Power Lender Desk

The VP of Sales is expected to demonstrate exceptional business acumen, executive presence, and cross-functional leadership, influencing internal teams and guiding customers through complex technical and strategic evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy:
    Set strategic goals, develop sales plans, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Industry Expertise:
    Maintain a high level of knowledge about the automotive dealer solutions market. Be the go-to expert on our products and competitors.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with other divisions, including Marketing, Product, and Customer Success, to create a cohesive and successful go-to-market strategy.

  • Quota and Performance Management:
    Take ultimate responsibility for exceeding sales quota. Analyze sales metrics, forecast performance, and implement corrective measures as needed.

Strategic Sales Leadership

  • Lead high-value, multi-stakeholder sales pursuits with large enterprise accounts.

  • Develop winning strategies for complex sales cycles, including data licensing, API integrations, multi-product adoption, and enterprise agreements.

  • Drive long-term revenue growth and contract expansion across enterprise accounts.

Key Account & Enterprise Engagement

  • Serve as the primary sales contact for the organization's most significant and strategically important customers.

  • Conduct executive-level presentations and valuation methodology discussions.

  • Partner with executives, and enterprise stakeholders to identify opportunities for expanded partnerships and data utilization.

Market Expertise

  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of:

    • Automotive Industry

    • Operations within large automotive retailers

    • Variable and Fixed operations

    • C-Level Negotiations

  • Provide authoritative guidance on use cases, workflow impact, and competitive differentiation.

Qualifications of this Role:

  • 10+ years of progressive B2B sales experience.

  • Demonstrated success managing complex, enterprise-level sales cycles.

  • Strong executive communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.

  • Experience selling data, analytics, valuation tools, SaaS, or technology platforms.

  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple functional areas to deliver strategic solutions.

  • Ability to travel for key customer visits, enterprise meetings, and industry conferences

Preferred

  • Familiarity with dealer operations, underwriting workflows, or inventory management strategies.

  • Deep relationships in automotive ecosystems

  • Experience with SaaS sales, integrations, and large-scale data licensing agreements.

The Hiring Manager says:

Success in this role comes from someone who knows how to land and expand within enterprise accounts, manage complex stakeholders, and consistently deliver meaningful revenue growth.

This position has a starting base salary of $220,000 - $240,000 USD per year, OTE t0 be reviewed. This is the range we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for the role at the time of posting. An employee's pay within the range is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location.
