Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Unit in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a government location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and the public while providing strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, and/or providing emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization, manage visitor entry procedures, and document access activity according to site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifying the appropriate contacts, and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation; communicate relevant information during shift briefings and/or post turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
