Court Planner I State of Connecticut Judicial Branch Hartford The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Court Planner I with the administrative office of the Connecticut Bar Examining Committee. The successful candidate will perform assignments under the supervision of the Director and will include tasks such as: planning, administration, and assistance with grading of the bar examination; review and processing of bar applications and bar admissions; implementing updates and improvements to the CBEC website and online application management system; developing or assisting in the development of bar admissions related rules, policies, and procedures; answering telephone and email inquiries from the public and bar admission candidates; other related duties as needed. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a small office environment is necessary. A law degree and Connecticut bar admission are preferred. Salary Range: $86,553 - $113,461/year – plus State of Connecticut benefits. New employees begin at the minimum. The starting salary for existing state employees may be higher than the minimum, in accordance with existing Judicial Branch policy. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING General Experience: Five (5) years of experience in governmental or regional planning, research and policy analysis, methods and procedures analysis, organizational analysis, or a related field. Substitutions Allowed: 1) College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours equaling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree. 2) A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for the General Experience.
