As a Security Officer - Armed Prisoner Transport in Frostproof, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and professional customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, taking initiative, and representing an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, buildings, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and post orders, including completing required checks and reporting issues.
  • Complete detailed activity and incident reports, communicate observations to the appropriate contacts, and coordinate with on-site staff and/or local authorities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
