Security Officer - Armed Guest Services

As a Security Officer - Armed Guest Services in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, professional communication. You will document observations, assist residents and guests, and work as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. This post requires an armed guard card/license and applicants must be 21+.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed vehicle and/or foot patrols throughout residential streets, common areas, and perimeter boundaries; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor entry points and community activity for unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a visible presence and verifying authorization as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and public services as needed.
• Document security-related activities, patrol observations, and incident response actions in written reports and/or electronic systems per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and unarmed guard card.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years armed security experience
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
