Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol Response in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor management, respond to alarms and service requests, and communicate clearly with employees and management. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking lots, and perimeter gates to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, and vendors; maintain visitor logs and issue temporary access materials according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting suspicious activity, supporting evacuation and/or shelter procedures when directed, and contacting onsite leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete timely documentation such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs; communicate observations and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or have a college degree.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
