Security Officer - Night Patrol Rounds

As a Security Officer - Night Patrol Rounds in Homer Glen, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, respond to concerns, document activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your Allied Universal team. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, common spaces, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and/or badge reader activity, reporting irregularities to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete routine reports, incident reports, and shift logs, communicating relevant information during shift turnovers and when escalating issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
