Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Strategic Business Planning will support the Director of Strategic Business Planning in the development and design of the Value Chain Network Footprint. Strategy and scope support commercial category plans (Bread, Buns and Rolls, Sweet Baked Goods, Breakfast, Salty Snacks, and/or Innovation) enabling BBU's transformation strategy. They will work across key functions (brand marketing, innovation, R&D, finance, manufacturing, distribution, sales) to build key stakeholder alignment and gain senior leadership approval of future supply chain and manufacturing strategy for high priority categories.
Success will be measured by the identification, approval and implementation of 2-10 year strategy that will deliver the optimal Value Chain Network Footprint.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Translate specific commercial category strategic business plans into actionable, quantifiable, and measurable supply chain actions and enablers
  • Identify critical supply chain opportunities and risks, inclusive of our manufacturing, distribution, and sales networks (with role focus on manufacturing)
  • Provide key inputs to data modeling process, validate output, and develop applicable strategy
  • Validate existing and future commercial brand category key priorities and growth assumptions
  • Articulate the strategic business planning vision and scope of work to relevant stakeholders, including senior- and executive-level management
  • Apply analytics and structure plans to solve complex problems; analyze findings to develop insights and recommendations for senior management
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure execution of initiatives; engage and collaborate with individuals at all levels and across functional and geographic areas
  • Manage projects and resources over discrete time periods with minimal intervention
  • Leverage technical, analytical, interpersonal, and management skills to implement projects across the organization
  • Impact company profit and loss through measurable supply chain logistics projects
  • Assure associates engaged in or affected by strategy projects possess the operational capabilities to achieve business strategy and project goals

Education and Work History:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Management, MBA preferred
  • A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted
Ideal candidate will possess:
  • Seven or more years of supply chain, finance, sales, or strategy experience (supply chain inclusive of manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or planning) in the food sales or relevant responsibilities in comparable industry
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, including strong conceptual and analytical skills and ability to turn findings into executable plans
  • Excellent presentation and written/oral communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate and influence others
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Computer skills and proficiency, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Occasional travel throughout BBU
