Description

Job Responsibilities

* Maintain a structured, safe, and well-managed environment for youth and staff

* Provide direct supervision, guidance, and therapeutic crisis intervention as needed

* Serve as a role model and mentor, promoting accountability, respect, and positive decision-making

* Lead daily routines, activities, and transitions within the home

* Support youth in developing independence, discipline, and life skills

* Oversee and support staff on shift, ensuring consistency in expectations and program implementation

* Utilize sound judgment in high-pressure situations while maintaining a calm and professional approach



Minimum Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred

* 1-3 years of supervisory and/or leadership experience in a residential, childcare, or human services setting

* Valid driver's license with acceptable driving history required

* Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation



Preferred & Transferable Experience

Candidates with experience in the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply:

* Behavioral support or crisis response

* Youth residential care or group home settings

* Coaching, mentoring, or working with youth

* Team leadership in structured, fast-paced environments

Skills & Competencies* Strong decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure

* Ability to enforce expectations, maintain boundaries, and ensure accountability

* Effective communication and organizational skills

* Situational awareness and sound judgment in dynamic environments

* Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population

* Willingness to become TCI certified and First Aid/CPR trained
