Ingram Content Group (ICG)is searching for a Metadata Support Specialistto join our innovative team in La Vergne, TN. The Metadata Support Specialist, oversees metadata entry and management for IPS client publishers, ensuring all processes are developed and maintained in order for client publishers to submit and finalize their seasonal frontlist titles in time for monthly sell-in. Assists in creation and maintenance of seasonal and specialty digital online catalogs for IPS titles. Serves as an escalation point for metadata support (print and digital).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent year for year directly related experience
  • 3 years of experience in marketing, book publishing, book industry, account support, client administration, data management, or related field

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, primarily by phone and email
  • Knowledge of book metadata and systems
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates metadata management communications and maintains timeline for reaching out to client publishers on an ongoing basis, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Develops and maintains the monthly title intake schedule and establishes seasonal metadata deadlines.
  • Ensures metadata is optimized for distribution partners and online searching and resolves any escalated issues from Client Managers.
  • Creates and maintains seasonal and specialty sell-in catalogs for IPS titles
  • Oversees the process for adding all client titles to seasonal catalogs for sell-in by completing sweeps for drop-in titles in CoreSource on a consistent basis.
  • Updates locked CoreSource fields and tracks changes for internal stakeholders
  • Works closely with client publishers to educate on metadata industry standards and best practices
  • Troubleshoots data distribution issues to ensure required metadata fields have been populated, correcting any issues/errors and escalating when necessary.
  • Partners with Client Relations and Sales in auditing sell-in catalog data for sales conferences.
  • Troubleshoots print, ebook, and eaudio issues on key vendor websites, fixing any issues and submitting support tickets when necessary.
  • Provides ongoing training to new publisher users on how to enter and access CoreSource metadata.
  • Provides tier-1 support for ONIX ingestion issues for clients utilizing ONIX. Assists in setting publishers up with ONIX ingestion, ensuring CoreSource's requirements are met.
  • Partners with Ingram internal stakeholders on systems updates while communicating the needs of IPS distribution brands.

Hiring Salary Range:$62,087-$77,158. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
