Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate is process-oriented, results-driven, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. They demonstrate a strong aptitude for quickly learning new concepts, processes, and organizational norms, and are comfortable managing frequently changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining awareness of their impact across the broader organization. A high level of attention to detail is essential-candidates who take pride in precision and quality are encouraged to apply. This role requires the ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key duties include:

  • Work closely with Master Scheduling to understand build plan positioning, changes and required flexibility.

  • Planner must understand manufacturing capacity and allocate as required to meet build plan commitments.

  • Determines material requirements from production schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle in a short lead-time, high mix manufacturing setting.

  • Work closely with purchasing to understand incoming material status and risk.

  • Track shortages and run shortage meetings with procurement team. Highlight to management critical part shortages that will jeopardize ship schedule.

Job Complexity:

  • Uses professional concepts and applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires a review of a variety of factors.

  • Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 3 years experience with a Master's degree; or PHD without work experience; or equivalent experience

Base Pay Range: $81,500.00 - $138,600.00 Annually Primary Location: USA-CA-San Diego-KLA KLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.

Interns are eligible for some of the benefits listed. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the pay for this position in the primary location identified in this posting. Actual pay depends on several factors, including state minimum pay wage rates, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education level or training.
