We are seeking a Transition Coordinator to join our team at our program in Baton Rouge, LA.



Earn $21.33/hour.


Position Details:




  • Work cooperatively with directors in developing and implementing transition programing
  • Design and produce custom merchandise for the organization's screenprinting business, including developing artwork, coordinating production schedules, and engaging students/participants in handson vocational skillbuilding throughout the creative and printing process.
  • Consult with and assist teachers/support staff to meet the transition needs of the students
  • Coordinate with directors to develop and facilitate meaningful transition services for students/participants with disabilities
  • Coordinate with directors and local business to plan integrated student/participant career services
  • Act as a liaison between Merakey Education/Gateway and relevant agencies that provide services to students with disabilities
  • Maintain a positive and effective relationship with supervisors/directors
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues, students/participants, and extermal stakeholders
  • Demonstrate the ability to set priorities to optimally use work time while handling multiple priorities
  • Work alone or in areas that are confined and or crowded
