Position Summary

The Lean Maintenance Technician must have the ability to develop and implement creative solutions with a high sense of urgency to support the Kaizen Teams. This may include moving equipment, fabricating special tables, racks, shelves, 6S boards, etc...

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Visual Management)
  • Assist in data collection and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Support problem-solving activities using basic Lean tools (A3s, root cause analysis, PDCA)
  • Train operators on Lean tools and new standard processes
  • Work closely with production teams to support safety and quality improvements
  • Assist in sustaining improvements after implementation

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Ability to fabricate tables, fixtures, shelves, racks, etc...
  • Ability to use saws, drills, welders, and other basic industrial maintenance tools
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Kaizen events or continuous improvement projects
  • Familiarity with visual management and daily management systems
  • Experience in safety, quality, or production support roles
