Job Overview

As a Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining brake press machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to specifications. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings. You will work both independently and as part of a team in a fast?paced manufacturing environment to meet safety, quality, and production standards.


Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate brake press machines to produce parts according to specifications and work instructions.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job orders to determine proper tooling setup, bending sequences, and tolerances.

  • Inspect fabricated parts to verify accuracy of dimensions, alignment, and quality standards using measurement tools (calipers, protractors, gauges).

  • Adjust machine settings, tooling, and back gauges to achieve proper bends and meet quality requirements.

  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment for wear or needed repairs.

  • Monitor part flow, maintain accurate production records, and ensure timely completion of work orders.

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Requirements

  • 2-3 years of brake press operating experience required.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.

  • Proficiency with hand and precision measurement tools.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Basic computer skills for accessing work orders and documenting production.

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.

  • Experience operating CNC controlled brake press machines.

Travel & Work Arrangements

  • Onsite position based in Tulsa, OK.

  • No travel required.

  • Must be available for overtime as needed, including occasional weekends or extended shifts.



Pay Range

Starting pay for this position ranges from $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
This is a fulltime, hourly position.
