What role will you play?

The Valuation Control role is responsible for independently assessing the fair value of energy assets by overseeing valuation processes, methodologies, and controls. It involves monitoring valuation risks, preparing detailed reports for stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role also collaborates closely with trading, risk, finance, and quantitative teams while supporting projects that enhance valuation frameworks and automation.



What you offer

  • Strong understanding of valuation techniques, financial instruments, and energy related derivative products.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools, with the ability to solve complex analytical problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with cross functional teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Background in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, with experience in valuation, ideally within the energy sector.
While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 4 days a week in our office location.
