Summary

We are actively hiring skilled Carpenters to support an upcoming project in Idaho Falls. The ideal candidate will have experience with formwork, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work effectively on a team.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Carpenter will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Note that the areas listed are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by co-workers assigned to this role. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Build, assemble, and erect formwork systems, including:

    • PERI
    • DOKA
    • Wood frame
    • Aluma Gang
    • Symons
    • Scaffold building


  • Measure and lay out structures accurately, including:

    • Reading a tape measure precisely
    • Plumbing and lining walls
    • Establishing elevation and grade from benchmarks


  • Pour concrete and identify potential blowouts or issues during placement.
  • Troubleshoot formwork-related problems efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, project managers, and supervisors to meet project specifications and schedules.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety on all tasks.
  • Properly use power tools and other construction equipment.


Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work from heights.
  • Willingness to work 50 hours per week, including Saturdays when needed.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Pass pre-employment drug testing.
  • NQAI project experience is a plus.
