Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Weekdays in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor guidance. You will communicate clearly with staff and patients, document activity using a computer or tablet, and respond with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or requests for assistance from clinical and administrative teams.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances, directing visitors, verifying authorized access where required, and reporting unauthorized persons and/or prohibited items per site policy.
  • Complete written reports and incident documentation, communicate updates to site leadership and/or law enforcement when needed, and maintain professional interaction during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
