Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover in Fishersville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge processes, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Control access in accordance with site guidelines by monitoring entrances, checking credentials when assigned, and directing visitors to appropriate areas while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete security-related reports and shift documentation, noting incidents, patrol activity, and unusual conditions, and/or escalating issues through the established chain of communication.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
