Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Whiteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors while delivering people-first customer service with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license for in-state duties.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with clinical staff and/or site leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and building perimeters, noting unusual activity and helping to deter policy violations.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation and incident reports, and notify supervision and/or local authorities when conditions require escalation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
