Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Entry Control in Winter Park, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related concerns, and respond to incidents with calm, clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with onsite staff and public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of public areas, offices, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and help to manage visitor entry, staff credentials, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, including documenting access activity when required.
  • Complete required reports such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate notable concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
