The Help Desk Specialist role at Brightview Senior Living provides a unique opportunity to work alongside a highly specialized IT team at our Home Office. This team plays a critical role in delivering reliable technical support and strategic technology solutions that enable the daily operations of approximately 49 communities and over 6,400 employees across the organization.


Responsibilities


The Help Desk Specialist will provide technical software, hardware and network problem resolution to Brightview Senior Living users by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding users through step-by-step solutions in a Help Desk environment. Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner; provide one-on-one end user training as needed, assist Network Administrators; troubleshoot network and computer issues; pass more complex end-user problems on to Network Administrators. Occasionally travel to sites to troubleshoot and/or install new systems.

In this role you will perform question/problem diagnosis and guidance by providing step by step solutions, and you will document, track and monitor these problems by utilizing a help desk tracking system daily. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the home office phone system and mobile devices, assisting with basic network administration, testing and installing new software and software patches, and providing support and repair for network printers, copiers and scanners.

And because we are adding new associates and new communities to our portfolio regularly, you will be heavily involved with configuring workstations and installing specialized software applications, in addition to teaching new user orientation to associates who join our team. You also may be required to travel occasionally to our portfolio of communities and properties in the Mid-Atlantic and New England states to trouble shoot or install new systems.


Salary Range

USD $21.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.

Compensation Disclosure

The salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required, College Degree (BS) in Computer related field preferred
  • Experience working in a professional office environment
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Handle difficult situations and confront issues when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills via telephone, email and in person.
  • Desire and ability to provide exemplary customer service.
  • 1-3 years' experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office, Windows 10, and related software.
  • Please note the schedule for this position is Tuesday
  • This ideal schedule for this position is Saturday - Wednesday. While the position does require you to work on the weekend, you will have the option to work those days remotely.
