Position Title: Electrical Engineer
Wage: $70,000 - $98,000/year We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Controls Engineer to join our engineering team in Rockford, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of electrical control systems specifically for industrial sheet metal fabrication machinery. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the full-function operation of equipment by managing electrical schematics and overseeing software enhancements for our proprietary CNC platform. Electrical Engineer Responsibilities: - Create, develop, and update detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for both new and existing machinery - Lead small-scale electrical and software development projects aimed at enhancing machine functionality or improving manufacturing efficiency - Oversee software updates for machine controls, ensuring our CNC systems operate with the latest features and optimized logic - Manage the ECN process for electrical components and software, ensuring rigorous version control and documentation across all machine lines - Provide high-level technical assistance to the Service Department to help diagnose and resolve complex electrical or software-related field issues - Author and maintain technical specifications, software guides, and electrical documentation; contribute to the drafting and updating of comprehensive machine operation manuals Requirements for Electrical Engineer: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field - While we use TinyCad for schematics and have a proprietary CNC platform, experience with standard industry software (such as AutoCAD Electrical or E-Plan) is highly preferred and transferable - Highly organized approach to version control and technical documentation - Ability to troubleshoot complex control systems and translate mechanical requirements into electrical solutions | |
