Pediatric Speech Pathologist II Otolaryngology - Pediatric Head and Neck Surgery Full Time 88335BR Job Summary The Staff Speech Language Pathologist, Speech Pathologist II, reports to the Rehab Service Manager and provides both direct and indirect patient care services. The Staff Speech Language Pathologist II works primarily with pediatric and adolescent patients from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, although adult patients may also be treated. Under general direction and upon receipt of written referrals, the Staff Speech Language Pathologist II plans and administers a full range of speech therapy services for patients who are deaf and hard of hearing. Services include patient evaluations using speech language pathology tests and measurements, establishment of therapeutic intervention goals and development of therapeutic intervention programs, and implementation of therapeutic intervention plans utilizing all aspects of the speech language pathology scope of practice. The Staff Speech Pathologist maintains all applicable patient records related to the delivery of patient care services. While performing job duties, the Staff Speech Language Pathologist II may also supervise support personnel, student interns and Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellows. The Staff Speech Language Pathologist II actively participates in departmental and organizational programs, including performance improvement activities, clinical education programs, and in-services and staff development activities. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
