Principal Sonographer, Fetal Medicine (Part-time) FETAL MEDICINE Part Time 88323BR Job Summary We are hiring for an experienced Principal Sonographer to join our Fetal Treatment Center team in Oakland supporting advanced prenatal care. In this highly specialized role, you will perform diagnostic and procedural ultrasound examinations to support physicians during amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS), as well as provide detailed fetal anatomical imaging for expectant mothers. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients facing complex pregnancies. In addition to clinical responsibilities, you will actively contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives, maintain accurate quality control documentation, and ensure optimal equipment performance through routine testing and maintenance. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $84.44 - $105.00 (Hourly Rate). We provide care for the full range of fetal defects as well as genetic diseases that can be treated with stem cells, and we're one of the few centers in the nation with the expertise to handle the most rare and complex cases.
