Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for safely performing all tasks associated with warehousing including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, labeling, loading/unloading and inventory control.

• Follow all designated DHL Safety First rules and regulations
• Receive incoming shipments
• Load / unload shipments
• Sort and process outgoing shipments according to established procedures and regulations
• Load shipments into vehicles and uses hand tools to install strapping, bracing, and padding
• Maintain inventory records of customer shipments
• Perform audits to ensure integrity and security of freight
• May perform routine vehicle, equipment, and warehouse maintenance
• May operate forklift, hand jacks, and other vehicles and equipment
• Build up and maximize airline containers and PMC pallets
• Enter data information into freight station inventory (FSI) and warehouse management system using desktop computer and handheld scanner
• Perform pick and pack assembly on shipments as needed, and assemble shipments from storage area to prepare for export
• Mark and label shipments with identifying information
• Prepare load manifests
• Perform dim check [weight and measurement] of each shipment received
• Drive forklift to transport shipments within warehouse and in and out of trucks; operate other warehouse equipment such as pallet jack and hand truck as needed

Skills / Requirements:

• Safety conscious
• Detail oriented and good follow-up skills with a sense of integrity
• Strong communication skills with office staff and team members
• Forklift experience desired but not required
• Hazmat certification desired but not required
• Minimum 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong knowledge of Cargo handling, warehouse operations and / or freight forwarding
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds occasionally or with team lift
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds frequently
• Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch repeatedly

Pay Range: $24.42 - $32.56/hr. (Based on Experience)
