ARC, located in Greer SC, is an FAA-Certified Repair Station dedicated to delivering exceptional repair and maintenance services for a wide range of aircraft and engine accessories. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing top-notch service and technical expertise.


Action Research Corporation (ARC), a division of HEICO Corporation, is currently looking for a recently graduated Mechanical Engineer with a strong interest in aircraft and engine accessories to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with reverse engineering components, an understanding of aircraft mechanical systems as well as experience working with electrical and instrumentation systems. This role will involve troubleshooting, prototyping, and reverse engineering mechanical, electrical and electromechanical components to ensure they meet stringent FAA standards and operational requirements.

Responsibilities



  • Component Analysis and Reverse Engineering: Analyze and reverse engineer aircraft and engine electrical components, ensuring that repairs and modifications are compliant with FAA regulations and industry best practices.



  • Develop technical documentation, schematics, and design modifications for electrical components. Document all engineering activities and modifications in compliance with FAA standards.



  • Work closely with other engineering team members, technicians, and management to resolve technical issues and improve repair processes. Provide technical support and guidance as needed.



  • Support of Operations and Quality as required, including Production support and troubleshooting.




Requirements

Required Skills



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Exposure to design of electrical/instrumentation components, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques specific to aircraft systems. Some familiarity with FAA regulations and standards related to aircraft maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly document technical procedures and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Solid Modeling
  • Hands-on approach to understanding mechanical systems and devices.
  • Will often require assembly and the use of tools so familiarity with this type of activity is required.



Education/Experience




  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Relevant experience in design and reverse engineering (0 to 2 years experience)
