Summary/ Objective:

The Corporate Pricing Analyst is a key analytical partner within the Corporate Pricing team, responsible for delivering insights and data-driven support that help improve pricing performance and drive profitable growth. This role focuses on transforming complex data into clear, actionable analysis that enables informed decision-making across Sales, Management, and Pricing.

Leveraging strong quantitative and business acumen, the Analyst evaluates pricing effectiveness, identifies trends, risks, and opportunities, and supports the development and refinement of pricing frameworks and performance monitoring established by Pricing leadership. Working cross-functionally with key stakeholders, this role helps strengthen pricing discipline, improve margin outcomes, and reduce manual overrides through thoughtful analysis and reporting.

This position is ideal for a highly analytical professional who enjoys solving complex business problems, building meaningful insights from data, and contributing to the continued evolution of a data-driven pricing organization.

Work Hours/Location: Monday-Friday during normal office hours; based in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Essential Functions:




  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of Sell Matrix structure and settings; support ongoing monitoring and recommended adjustments in partnership with Pricing leadership.



  • Partner with the Pricing Manager to support the execution and continuous refinement of the company's pricing strategy through data-driven analysis and insights.



  • Perform advanced pricing and margin analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support profitable growth.



  • Investigate and resolve complex discrepancies related to cost, margin, and sell price, ensuring pricing integrity and data accuracy.



  • Analyze override activity, pricing performance, and customer/product trends to support improved pricing discipline and reduced manual intervention.



  • Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics within key trading areas and summarize findings for Pricing and commercial leadership.



  • Develop, maintain, and analyze daily, weekly, and periodic pricing and performance reports, highlighting actionable insights.



  • Support the planning, analysis, and execution of vendor pricing programs in coordination with Pricing and Purchasing teams.



  • Build and maintain strong product and application knowledge to provide informed analytical support to pricing decisions.



  • Participate in relevant internal and external training to strengthen pricing knowledge and system proficiency.

Competencies:

Technical & Analytical Capability




  • Advanced analytical and computer skills required, including Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis); experience with VBA, SQL, or data modeling is a plus.



  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (Eclipse preferred), pricing tools, PIM platforms, and data import/export processes preferred.



  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Planner/Project tools preferred.



  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into clear, actionable business insights.



  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Vendors, Rep Agencies, Sales, Sales Management, and cross-functional partners.

Supervisory Responsibility:




  • This position is not a supervisory role and does not have any direct reports.




Work Environment:

This job operates primarily in an office setting. This position requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, internet, smart phones, and photocopiers.

Travel:




  • Some overnight travel is required, and the employee can reasonably expect regional travel once per quarter to meet the demands of the position. Should travel be required a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for this position.




Clearances and Certifications:




  • Various clearances will be required



  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required



  • Excel certification preferred




Education and Experience:




  • 2-3+ years of professional experience in pricing analysis, business analysis, financial analysis, or similar quantitative roles required.



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related analytical field strongly preferred; Master's degree is a plus.



  • Demonstrated experience using advanced data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., advanced Excel, SQL, BI tools, relational databases) preferred.



  • Experience analyzing pricing, margin, customer, or product performance data in a distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale environment strongly preferred.



  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, or analytical models that support business decision-making preferred.



  • Experience with Epicor Solar Eclipse or similar ERP platforms is a plus.
