Position Description:
The Sr. Cloud and Systems Administrator manage ATI's mixed IT ecosystem, bridging the gap between traditional on-premises hardware and modern cloud-based resources. This role is essential for maintaining system stability, security, and performance across hybrid environments. Maintains all of ATI's cloud and on-premises systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Works closely with IT security to ensure proper implementation of security controls. Assesses IT networking/technology requirements for business operations. Act as senior technical staff member on projects.

Essential Functions
Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-effective Azure solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage, backup/recovery, and hybrid connectivity.
Provide hands-on administration of Azure resources such as Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure Files, Azure Storage, Azure Backup, and Site Recovery.
Implement and maintain security and compliance controls aligned with organizational policies.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents using Splunk, Azure, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and traditional tools.
Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement following incidents or outages.
Perform cost analysis and optimization of the Azure infrastructure with actionable recommendations.
Manage hybrid identity solutions (DUO, Azure AD/Entra ID, AD Connect, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access) and enforce RBAC policies.
Contribute to cloud governance standards (policies, tagging, naming, access controls).
Maintain and support existing on-premises platforms (Active Directory, VMware, Windows Server, Linux Server, Nutanix HCI, Cohesity).
Perform hardware/software/firmware upgrades, patch management, lifecycle management, and warranty tracking.
Ensure high availability, security, performance, cost efficiency, and disaster recovery readiness across all environments.
Collaborate with Application and DevOps teams to enable cloud adoption and platform best practices.
Operate under limited supervision with significant latitude for independent judgment.
May mentor junior staff or lead small project teams.
Assures consistency in work and resolves or elevates issues as appropriate.
Works with the entire IT Division to ensure that coordination and communications are highly effective.
Work in conjunction with and/or lead external vendors.
Ensure accurate and complete records of activities are maintained.
Supports 24x7x365 IT operations.
Additional Responsibilities:
Supports on-boarding of new IT staff.
Continuously seeks opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
Participates in project kickoffs and debriefs.
Keeps up to date with the latest technology.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or an Associates Degree with 4 years of related experience.
2-5 years of progressive systems and cloud administration experience.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience (design, implementation, migration, and operations).
Active Azure certifications are strongly preferred (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, or newer equivalents).
Deep knowledge of Azure services: Virtual Machines, Virtual Network, Azure Storage, Azure Files, Azure Backup, Site Recovery, Azure AD/Entra ID, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and cost management.
Strong hybrid identity and networking skills (VPN Gateway, VNet peering, NSGs, firewalls).
Solid understanding of Linux Server, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of IT security best practices.
Ability to learn and grasp new concepts and business processes quickly.
Highly motivated self - starter.
This position will need the ability to access US only data systems - US Citizenship is required. (contracts & program)
