Job Title: Procurement Agent Location: Rosemead, CA 91770 (Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months Contract Pay Range: $38/hr. - $40/hr.
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Agent to support sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure efficient procurement processes, cost optimization, and supplier performance management. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in purchasing, contract support, financial analysis, and supply chain methodologies. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in negotiating pricing, contract terms, and conditions with suppliers while preparing contractual documents and binding agreements.
- Support source selection, negotiation, and contract strategies by integrating program, customer, product, and in-service strategies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather client requirements and develop procurement solutions aligned with program and company goals.
- Support senior Procurement Agents with project management activities and supplier strategy development.
- Develop and deploy supplier strategies and plans to ensure consistent supply chain performance.
- Contribute to production control improvement plans and support hardware development from engineering definition through certification, tooling development, and first article development.
- Monitor supplier capacity and production readiness to ensure suppliers can meet delivery rate requirements across the supply chain.
- Manage and monitor sub-tier supplier readiness and performance.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and participate in cross-functional improvement teams.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to cost reduction initiatives.
- Perform root cause analysis, develop mitigation plans for risks, and monitor resolution to closure.
- Participate in supplier risk assessments and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Utilize project management tools to track and manage supplier performance, including technical, quality, cost, and schedule metrics.
- Engage frequently with multiple organizational leaders to support procurement and supply chain initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Typically, 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supplier management.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, activity-based costing, and supply chain methodologies.
- Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, collaborate cross-functionally, and support procurement strategies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
