Position Overview:

The Office of the Chief Legal Officer legal intern will work with attorneys from the following teams, including corporate, business affairs, distribution, board affairs, and standards and practices. The legal intern will observe meetings, draft and review agreements, complete and present legal research, write internal legal memorandums, and engage with a variety of clients.

The candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing legal agreements, completing and presenting legal research, writing legal memorandums, and participating in internal client meetings as well as legal team meetings.

Requirements for success:

The candidate should be a second-year law student, entering their third year of law school in the fall. Ideally, the candidate has a demonstrated interest in media, technology, and intellectual property law. Additionally, the candidate should have completed coursework in intellectual property related fields of law, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, etc. Further, the candidate should have experience working as a legal intern or law clerk, preferably in a field that is relevant to PBS's OCLO work.

Additional Information:

  • Time Commitment: June 1, 2026 - August 21, 2026

  • Compensation: Undergraduate students receive $15/hour, graduate students receive $17/hour
