Job Summary


The Senior Maintenance Electrician is responsible for supporting facility operations by providing timely electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs in a manufacturing and office environment. This role maintains, modifies, repairs, and troubleshoots a wide range of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems to ensure productivity and operational efficiency. The position requires strong technical expertise, experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.

Job Responsibilities




  • Maintain, modify, repair, and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems



  • Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC systems, including ladder logic interpretation and installation



  • Repair and service equipment such as HVAC systems, compressed air systems, conveyors, overhead cranes, forklift chargers, and electro-mechanical or hydraulic machinery



  • Work with 480 VAC three-phase circuits and low voltage DC controls



  • Install new power, lighting, and electronic equipment



  • Establish secondary electrical distribution systems and balance loads



  • Wire complex circuits with multiple connections



  • Perform equipment modifications and relocations according to plans and specifications



  • Create and set up testing environments using electronic test equipment



  • Analyze and interpret testing results and perform necessary equipment modifications



  • Review and execute preventive maintenance schedules



  • Prepare and manage technical reports and purchase requisitions for contractors and supplies



  • Work from verbal and written instructions, technical drawings, and prints



  • Use hand tools, meters, vacuum pumps, ladders, and other diagnostic equipment safely and effectively



  • Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and regulatory requirements



  • Maintain a clean and organized work area



  • Follow all OSHA and workplace safety regulations



  • Collaborate with team members to meet operational and business objectives




Job Requirements




  • Electrician Journeyman License, and/or an associate degree in an electrical field, and/or military training in electrical equipment



  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working with electrical equipment



  • At least one year of experience using computers



  • Experience working with 480 VAC three-phase circuits



  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, diagrams, and prints



  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship



  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds



  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, stand, and stoop as required



  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours per workday



  • Must reside within 50 miles of the work location; relocation assistance is not provided




Work Experience




  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience working with electrical and industrial equipment



  • Experience working with automated robots preferred
