As a Security Officer - Flex Zone Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. You will complete vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support tenants and visitors with outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly as you document observations. Bring a valid driver's license and a people-first mindset as you work with a reliable, agile team that leads with integrity and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, parking areas, and building perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, key and/or badge control as directed, and support tenant and property management requests within assigned responsibilities.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, document security-related concerns accurately, and communicate observations and handoffs to the next shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
