As a Security Officer - Retail Guard Full-Time in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication. You will support access control, observe for unusual activity, and document key details while delivering customer service that reflects our caring culture. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials as directed and directing individuals to the appropriate areas while following account and privacy requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, disturbances and/or medical events, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, ATM areas, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor security-related equipment and activity, document observations, complete incident reports and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
