Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Full-Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and monitor assigned areas for unusual activity. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures and access requirements at a government location.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, assist with emergency response activities and notifications.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and reporting to site leadership as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident reports, support investigations with factual observations, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
