As outlined in the 2023 report PlaNYC: Getting Sustainability Done, the City of New York is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Transportation is the second largest source of greenhouse gas emissions after buildings and accelerating the adoption of zero-emission vehicles is essential to meeting the City's climate and air quality goals. Expanding access to electric vehicle (EV) charging is a key to making EVs a practical and affordable mobility option for more New Yorkers, including taxi and for-hire vehicle drivers. With New York City's high density and the high proportion of renter households, many New Yorkers lack off-street access to electric vehicle charging and will need to rely on public EV chargers, and NYC DOT is working on expanding public EV charging infrastructure Minimum Qualifications 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or Preferred Skills
