ABOUT THE JOB:
The Product Manager/Senior Product Manager supports the strategic functions of product management, helping to drive revenue, market share, and other key financial metrics for the Core offering in North America. This person will help to develop and execute the vision and product road for the category, leading key product management and development functions. The Product Manager/Senior Product Manager is responsible for owning the operational and commercial rhythms of the modular & storage category. The job requires strong communication, leadership, and program management skills that can translate into successful sales and profit results.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Categorical ownership and management of Willscot modular & storage categories
- Regular external and internal assessments of the business environment, competitors, customers, and market trends
- Develop and provide strategic recommendations across products/pricing/positioning
- Customer-facing product research
- Work closely with procurement and operations teams to help source and engineer new products and/or unit enhancements
- Execute successful product launches across diverse markets including support materials, training and commercial/operational support
- Assist commercial teams in developing plan to grow sales year over year, including product training.
- Implement and manage KPI's for fleet product category
- Help lead multifunctional teams throughout the organization to execute new product development, sales enablement, and other strategic initiatives
- Key contributor in strategic annual planning/re-planning sessions
- This is a team-based role and will assist in other aspects of product management and marketing as well as help drive our Company's Strategies and promote our Mission, Vision and Values
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's degree required; Business or Marketing major preferred
- 3-5 years of increasing responsibility in a product role with a record of demonstrated achievement and leadership experience
- Preferably within the B2B arena and with capital products
- Demonstrated knowledge of business acumen in key areas
- Ability to read and manage product programs by P&L results
- Competent in MS Office, particularly Excel, and SalesForce
- Understanding of sales metrics, margin, EBITDA
- Financial and budgeting skills
- Project management and analytical skills; strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written aptitude including the ability to communicate effectively up, down and across organizational levels
- High level of comfort with presenting in front of an audience
- High level of comfort communicating with customers in jobsite environments
- Demonstrated continued engagement in current B2B marketing trends and skills
