Learn more about us at https://www.hawkinsinc.com/careers/ ABOUT THE JOB The Ellis Driver moves product between Hawkins Locations, monitors inventory levels and works with facility Lead and corporate support functions to ensure the proper materials are on hand to meet demand. Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory to support multiple sites that have warehousing and manufacturing
- Communicate with Operations leadership and corporate support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Planning, Transpiration, etc.) to determine and maintain proper inventory levels
- Maintain MRP to reflect accurate quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, enter inventory and cycle count adjustments for location to have correct data
- Supports inventory accuracy, running and/or supporting multi-site cycle counts, resolving inventory discrepancies, and making necessary adjustments to correct inventory discrepancies
- Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with internal departments in the supply chain
- Recommend improvements to cycle count process.
- Provide backup support proper inventory levels by monitoring expired inventory, negative inventory, inventory at risk, inventory adjustments and discrepancies.
- Participate in annual physical inventory process.
- Serves as back up for answering questions with regard to inventory availability and delivery.
- Obtains return authorization for purchases being returned, makes necessary system inventory adjustments.
- Serves as backup to review daily receiving report and match entries to the packing lists to ensure accuracy.
- Validate expiration dates.
- Ensure products are in correct status for internal customers (i.e. quarantine, hold, usable, etc.)
- Assist with waste disposal when necessary
- Understand and perform the procedures and equipment to pick, pack, stock, and ship orders according to DOT requirements
- Load and unload trucks
- Operate and maintain warehouse and assigned equipment (truck, forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
- Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Corporate environmental, safety, health regulations, work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Comply with all mandator Health, Safety & Environmental process training and procedures
- Operate truck for local deliveries and pick ups
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum one-year previous inventory control experience required
- Minimum one-year previous experience utilizing an ERP or MRP system; JD Edwards strongly preferred
- Minimum two years of driving experience
- Class A CDL with HAZMAT and tanker endorsement
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Forklift operation
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Sound judgment and decision making
- Effective communication skills
- Project management skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, reaching, and pulling
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs and ladders
- Ability to wear PPE and equipment such as safety shoes, face shields, safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, gloves, and a hard hat; chemical suits and a hair/beard net when required
- Ability to safely operate an industrial forklift when required
- Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements (for respirator use, SQF-certified environments, etc.)
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
- Willing to work around chemicals and industrial machinery
TRAVEL Travel is not required Expected Compensation: $33.85/hr.
