Job Title: IT Business Analyst


Report To: Director of Information Technology


Location: Administrative Office


JOB DESCRIPTION:


The IT Business Analyst -Data & Process role is responsible for transforming business data and process into insightful, user-friendly visualizations that support decision-making and continuous improvement across the organization. This role serves as a liaison between technical teams and business units, translating operational and strategic goals into analytical models, reports, and dashboards using tools such as Power BI and Hubble Reporting. The analyst will also support data governance, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.This individual will partner with the Sr. Business Analyst and various business units to enhance the JD Edwards system and meet business objectives across finance, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, and other business processes. The role will also collaborate with Analyst across other NTN sites to provide comprehensive support for the company's enterprise systems.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Leverage process insights to enhance dashboard design, KPI relevance, and overall data storytelling.


* Integrate business process mapping with BI tools to visualize process flows, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.


* Partner with business units to gather reporting requirements and develop KPIs aligned with strategic goals.


* Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.


* Perform process modeling and analysis to identify improvement opportunities.


* Conduct data profiling, mapping, and cleansing to ensure high data integrity.


* Facilitate workshops and meetings to document functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications.


* Build SQL queries and other tools to generate datasets for analysis.


* Work collaboratively with IT and business stakeholders to support JD Edwards Enterprise One and Hubble Reporting enhancements.


* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and data flows.


* Monitor BI applications for data quality, performance, and accuracy.


* Lead integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).


* Support cross-site collaboration on enterprise systems and analytics initiatives.


* Collaborate with the Quality Systems Manager to recommend process documentation updates.


* Analyze the impact of proposed process changes on systems, data, and business outcomes.


* Facilitate process design sessions and workshops with business units and IT to gather input and identify best practices.


PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:


* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.


* 3-5 years of data analytics or BI experience required.


* Strong knowledge of Power BI and other Microsoft tools.


* Knowledge to learn and build Hubble Reporting tools.


* Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One is a plus.


* Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.


* Proven ability to communicate complex technical data to non-technical audiences.


* Demonstrated project management and time management skills.


* Adept in process modeling and workflow analysis.

Requirements

* Track and analyze savings and cost avoidance in partnership with Finance.


* Assist in developing data solutions for production control, inventory management, and capacity forecasting.


* Ensure compliance with NTN's data governance standards and security policies.


* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through BI insights.


* Collaborate with other analysts across NTN sites to share best practices and support enterprise goals.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


* Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer.


* Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.


* Occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 25 pounds (e.g., IT equipment, office supplies).


* Ability to move around office and manufacturing environments (may require safety equipment like shoes or glasses when in manufacturing areas).


* Visual acuity to read detailed data on computer screens and printed documents.


* Ability to travel between company sites or attend off-site meetings as needed.


MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:


* Ability to analyze complex technical and business information to make informed decisions.


* Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and manage systems.


* Capacity to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


* Strong attention to detail in managing project timelines, system documentation, and compliance requirements.


* Ability to maintain focus and productivity when working in high-pressure situations or outside regular business hours, as needed.


* High level of concentration and memory are required for managing and recalling details of multiple ongoing projects or system configurations.
