Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.

Small to Mid-Capital Project Manager.

Position is located in the Jersey Village area.

Small plant environment.

Ability to plan, monitor and execute multiple projects, perform project engineering/project controls functions.

Provide project management skills to bring investment projects through the capital work process and to field completion.

Work with internal and external engineering resources to develop the required deliverables. Work with plant personnel to review project design and ensure installation meets applicable standards and code.

Work with procurement to develop bid packages and select best vendor for materials and construction work.

Ensure field work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner and project is turned over to the plant for startup and following required Process Safety Management and site procedures.

Track actual performance, identifying variances from project baseline and take appropriate corrective actions to minimize impacts.

Work with Investment Manager, plant team members, and other support groups to develop project budgets.

Assist with coordination of construction contractors and project construction phase.

Position is located inside small facility.

Projects are small to mid-size in nature.

Previous experience with replacing and adding tanks and boilers a huge plus.

Previous experience overseeing projects through construction highly preferred.

Ability to plan, monitor and execute multiple projects.

Ensure project deliverables are met, and all team members are engaged.

Communicates and coordinates with plant and operations in regard to upcoming projects.

Enforces work schedule to be sure project schedules are met.

Give updates and status of job.

Proposal of Cost.

Provide estimates and design packages for projects.

Management of Change coordination.

Strong technical and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with other departments and those outside the Investment Group.

7+ years project management/engineering experience in a plant environment.

Previous experience with replacing tanks, boilers, hot oil systems highly preferred.

Self-starter who works well in cross functional teams.

Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities.

Proven record leading process projects through design and field implementation.

Plant experience in manufacturing, preferably in chemical plant or refinery environment.

BS in a related discipline; Mechanical, Civil or Chemical preferred.
