Description

The Installation Manager ensures projects are completed efficiently, profitably, and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. This role combines hands-on field work with office coordination, requiring close collaboration with estimators, technicians, coordinators, warehouse staff, vendors, and customers. The manager works as part of a dynamic team to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Maintain a 5-7 day lead on ordering, scheduling, receiving, and inventorying equipment.
  • Review project scope with estimators and communicate technical details to technicians.
  • Provide technical guidance and drawings, including Manual D designs when needed.
  • Ensure permits are secured and recorded in ServiceTitan.
  • Monitor gross profit margins (GPM), sharing insights with estimators to optimize installation teams.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and review safety/code requirements with technicians.
  • Stay current on installation best practices through ACCA and similar organizations.
  • Stage jobs properly and coordinate equipment effectively.
  • Lead technical training and monitor technician performance.
  • Hold regular team meetings and one-on-one check-ins.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Mass Save program and qualifying equipment.



Required Education and Experience:



  • Proven experience in commercial and residential HVAC installations.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems; some experience with commercial refrigeration.
  • Basic estimating experience; ability to draft simple Manual D designs.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, motivated, flexible, and positive.
  • Experience with ServiceTitan is a plus.



Work Environment: This position requires the employee to work both inside and outside. The employee may be subject to loud noises and hot and cold temperatures while on work site.



Positions Type and Expected hours of Work: This is a full-time 40-hour position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Opportunities to work from home on certain projects.



Travel: Daily travel to job sites throughout MA and RI



Physical Demands:



  • Lifting weight up to and over 75 lbs. in both a vertical and horizontal range of motion.
  • Crawl, stoop, stand, reach (push/pull) & bend to perform necessary work.
  • Able to ascend and descend on extension ladders, step ladders and stairs using feet and/or hands and arms.
  • Able to drive a company vehicle and walk around at job sites.
  • Reading, computer input, typing and answering the phone.
  • Clarity of vision at both over 20 feet and under 20 inches.
  • Able to judge depth (distance & space relationships), have a good field of vision, and identify and distinguish colors.
  • Adjustment of eye to bring object into sharp focus.
