The Facility Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and monitoring the condition, maintenance, and improvement of Roadway Repair and Maintenance (RRM) facilities across all five boroughs. This role serves as liaison between the RRM Division and the DOT Facilities Division, ensuring that facility-related projects, renovations, and maintenance needs are prioritized, tracked, and communicated effectively. The position requires strong organizational skills, field coordination, and the ability to provide executive-level updates to RRM leadership. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Monitor the operational condition of 25+ RRM facilities across the five boroughs. Conduct regular site visits to assess facility conditions, safety concerns, and operational needs. Serve as the primary point of contact between RRM and DOT Facilities for security-related matters. Observe, evaluate, and make recommendations to ensure the elimination of loss, damage, and/or misuse of property, equipment, vehicles, tools, etc. Assist managers and supervisory staff to identify maintenance issues, infrastructure needs, and potential improvements. Maintain accurate records of facility conditions, inspections, and ongoing issues. Assist in identifying short-term repairs and long-term capital improvement opportunities. Prepare and deliver summaries and briefings to RRM leadership on project progress, facility conditions, risks, and upcoming needs. Support the development of standardized processes for facility inspections, reporting, and follow-up.

Minimum Qualifications

1.A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects; or
2. A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described in "1" above; or
3. A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent plus any combination of the experience and/or college education as described in "1" above to make up the equivalent of five years of education and experience. One year of credit will be given for each 30 semester credits of college education leading to a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration.
