You Are: The Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the execution and continuous improvement of the data governance program promoting data as a strategic asset for business growth and efficiency. The opportunity: * Process Mapping and Optimization: Document and improve organizational processes related to data governance, identifying efficiency opportunities. * Governance Strategy Implementation: Support the execution of strategic data governance initiatives with business leaders, prioritizing by impact and risk. * Metadata and Documentation Management: Maintain up-to-date data catalogs, technical dictionaries, business glossaries, data lineages, and information flows in Confluence and corporate tools. * Business Rule Definition: Facilitate the definition, documentation, and validation of business rules and data quality standards. * Master Data Management (MDM): Support the identification and maintenance of unique master data, ensuring a single source of truth (SSOT). * Compliance and Policies: Ensure compliance with corporate governance policies and participate in internal data audits. * Data Classification and Security: Apply data classification schemes based on sensitivity and collaborate with cybersecurity teams. * Maturity Assessments: Participate in data maturity assessments using the CMM model, identifying areas for improvement. * Data Risk Management: Identify and document risks associated with the quality, security, and availability of critical data. * Strategic Alliances: Collaborate with Data Owners, Technical Stewards, and IT teams to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of information. * Continuous Improvement: Apply methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma to optimize processes and ensure continuous improvement. * Data Culture: Participate in training initiatives and promote a data culture within the organization. This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required. What you need: * Requirements Education * Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, or related fields. * Experience 1 to 3 years in roles related to organizational processes, data analysis, data quality, or data governance. * Knowledge of SQL and relational and non-relational databases. * Knowledge of cloud tools - GCP (BigQuery, Data Catalog). * Knowledge of technological tools applied to data management (Dataiku, Power BI, Tableau, Advanced Excel). * Experience with collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Slack). * Understanding of Data Lineage, MDM, and Data Quality concepts. * Desirable: Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) certification. * Desirable: DAMA-CDMP or DCAM certification. Soft Skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams. * Critical thinking and problem-solving orientation. * Adaptability to change and openness to new technologies. * Customer focus and commitment to data quality. * Ability to document clearly for both technical and business audiences.
