About This Role

Hyland is looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Sales Solution Engineer to support our Healthcare sales team through the pre-sales process. In this role, you will serve as the technical point of contact for customer engagements, developing and presenting tailored solution demonstrations that address the unique needs of healthcare organizations. You'll collaborate closely with sales, global services, and product development to deliver a seamless and compelling customer experience. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
    Act as the technical point of contact on standard customer engagements; coordinate customer pre-sales meetings and determine technical requirements.
  • Create a demonstration of the solution strategy, applying basic solutions and best practice knowledge; present demonstration of proposed solution to key customer stakeholders for validation and buy-in.
  • Coordinate meetings with global services to transition key information; remain actively involved in the process to ensure a seamless transfer of the customer.
  • Compose internal documentation that fully reflects all activity related to the solution strategy; provide technical responses for requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Consistently provide input on how to improve internal efficiencies; grow knowledge and stay aware of best practices and market trends.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and events; work with Development in support of solution enhancements.
Role Essentials
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Management Information Systems or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job.
  • Technical Sales experience; knowledge of Enterprise Content Management (ECM); knowledge of general software implementation methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and use engaging, informative, and compelling presentation methodologies; speak or write with ease, clarity, and impact using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others; effective at gaining consensus; good collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with other areas.
  • Self-directed with the ability to manage projects to completion; able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; driven to learn and stay current professionally. Up to 60% travel time required.
What We'd Like to See (Preferred Skills)
  • Experience working in or supporting healthcare industry clients with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows, compliance requirements, and clinical or administrative operations.
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems such as EHR/EMR platforms, PACS, or health information management solutions.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused narratives for executive and clinical audiences.
  • Experience responding to enterprise-level RFPs and RFIs with technically accurate and compelling written responses.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, services, and product development teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
