Job Summary The Business Development Manager will help the business unit team become best-in-class and support the development and execution of strategies that deliver growth to the business unit. The Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting current and new customers and markets. The position is responsible for manufacturing/purchasing support, sourcing, sales, and supporting the execution of the strategic growth plan for the BU. This position reports to the Managing Director of Client and Creative Services. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Function as a company sales representative and provide technical assistance to BU customers.
- Meet or exceed sales quotas and margin expectations.
- Provide support to leaders to enable day-to-day operations for their teams and initiatives.
- Support efforts to grow retail ready packaging business.
- Work with existing vendors and identify new vendors to secure materials for manufactured products.
- Place orders for supplies and raw material products by generating purchase orders.
- Approve orders, graphic layouts, and specs.
- Maintain finished good inventory to ensure we have materials to place orders.
- Communicate directly with customers.
- Generate Miscellaneous orders and Misc POs for supplies as needed.
- Enter BU sales orders and purchase orders as needed.
- Assist with project coordination for client and creative services.
- Assist in building a functional retail ready packaging team.
- All other tasks as required.
Qualifications Personal Attributes:
- Business acumen with the ability to create solutions and identify opportunities for customer solutions.
- Capable and comfortable speaking at many levels, including maintenance personnel, engineers, procurement managers, and executives.
- Demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Interested in innovation (both product & service) and acts as an agent for change.
- Ability to discern trends and utilize voice of customer data to generate insight and form strategies.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the US. Up to 50% time requirement is possible.
Experience Required for the Role:
- Minimum of 10 years in corrugated packaging with display and retail ready packaging.
- Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing, and speaking.
- Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels.
Salary Pay Range: $50,000 - $100,000 annually dependent on experience* *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living Bonus/Incentive Pay: Annual performance bonus opportunity based on Company and specific business unit ROI and PBOP achievement criteria and individual job responsibility and performance.
