Regional Instructional Coach

Help shape highquality learning experiences across our child care centers in New York City/Long Island. As a Regional Instructional Coach at Bright Horizons, you will serve as a trusted education and curriculum expert, partnering with center leaders and teachers to strengthen instructional practice and support children's development.

Through coaching, modeling, and professional development, you will help bring our educational philosophy to life while ensuring consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across your assigned region. This role is ideal for an experienced early childhood educator who is passionate about teaching excellence, adult learning, and making a meaningful impact at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with center leadership to implement developmentally appropriate, highquality programs aligned with Bright Horizons' curriculum, philosophy, and inclusive, antibias practices.

• Coach and support teachers through observation, feedback, modeling, and training to strengthen instructional practice and curriculum implementation.

• Use education quality measurement tools (e.g., QRIS, NAEYC) to assess implementation, guide improvement plans, and support education initiatives and accreditation efforts.

Qualifications:

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.

Minimum requirements:

• CDA credential and ability to meet and maintain all state licensing and client requirements.

• 3+ years of teaching experience, including mentoring or supervisory responsibilities.

• Strong knowledge of child development, emergent curriculum, and developmentally appropriate practice.

• Demonstrated skill in coaching, feedback, performance support, and followthrough.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while working across multiple sites.

• Candidates must be willing to work in person in early education and preschool settings and travel within an assigned region as needed.

Preferred requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in education, child development, or a related field.

• Experience with program quality assessment tools such as World Quality Expectations, QRIS, or NAEYC accreditation.

• Training facilitation and professional development experience.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons', and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training. This is a leadership role that requires work in person in an early education/preschool childcare center to provide center supervision, curriculum delivery, business management, and customer and client services. This role has a mixture of duties including office/computer/phone-based work, in-person supervision of care delivery and employees throughout all areas of the center, family/prospective family interactions which may take place in various areas of the center, and the ability to temporarily serve as a supervising caregiver for relatively brief periods of time on an as-needed basis (e.g., covering employee breaks or unscheduled absences).

Therefore, this role has a mixed set of physical demands, including:

• Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons', and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training.

• Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy throughout assigned work shift to perform essential job functions.

• Ability to respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies, which includes sufficient vision and/or hearing capability to respond immediately to any emergency alarms or similar devices, and which also may include necessity to take rapid physical actions to assist children and/or evacuate.

• Ability to regularly alternate between periods of seated desk/office work and periods of standing and/or moving.

• Ability to move within and access all areas of the assigned center's physical work environment - i.e. classrooms, inside common spaces, and outside care delivery spaces, which may include both even and uneven surfaces.

• Ability to perform seated office work, including the ability to use and communicate by computerized devices (including computers, tablets, mobile device), phones.

• Ability, when temporarily assisting with supervising caregiver duties, to: stand for extended periods of time; alternate between standing, sitting and walking; frequently lift, carry, or hold children with a range of weight from 10 to 40 pounds; occasionally lift, carry, or hold weight more than 40 pounds; lift, reach (overhead, at and below shoulder level), squat, crouch, climb, sit, bend, stretch, twist, grasp/move small objects, push and pull; maintain visual and audio supervision of children in accordance with Bright Horizons policies and procedures, and applicable law/regulation.

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $70,500-88,125 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
