Here is how the Director of Marine Operations role will impact our business:

The Director of Marine Operations will act as a key member of the LNG Trading team. They will have overall responsibility for the development and execution of EQT's vessel operations capability.

The Director of Marine Operations responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Development of processes and procedures for effective LNG tanker management -including tanker vetting, vessel communications and cargo quality and customsdocumentation.
  • Serving as Subject Matter Expert for LNG Shipping in EQT's ETRM Systemsimplementation.
  • Development and management of a team of shipping and cargo operators in line with
    EQT's growth in LNG export volumes.
  • Operator for initial spot voyages and on a back-up basis once the team is in place.
  • Provision of technical and operational expertise during LNG charter procurement.
  • Provide support for LNG Trading and Origination functions during long- and short-termLNG contract negotiations.
  • Set up and manage relationships with port and customs agencies, pilots associations, tugoperators and other groups pertinent to LNG tanker operations at key ports and canals.
  • Ensure that operational details of LNG voyages are being correctly captured in the ETRM system.
  • Take a leadership role in the negotiation of Omnibus Collaboration Agreements withEQT's LNG shipowner group



Required Experience and Skills:



  • 10 years of experience working in maritime operations within the energy industry - preferably.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of LNG port-call procedures, including customs and export agency regulations.



Preferred Experience and Skills:



  • Experience with use of ETRM systems to capture risk and economics of seaborne trade.
  • Understanding of emerging IMO and other regulations which willimpact emissions reporting from LNG tankers.


Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
